Ginger at 5 months

Ginger is now 5 1/2 months old. She is getting bigger everyday it seems. She enjoys her walks outside and meeting new people and dogs! We took her to the dog park a few times, however, just after her last visit to the dog park she came down with a mild case of kennel cough. While the "cough" did seem to get better over time it has not gone away completely, so we had to take Ginger to the vet for antibiotics. At this past visit she weighed in at 17 pounds!! She has an appointment to get spayed on July 9th and we want to make sure she is healthy for that! In the meantime she is doing very well with her crate training and has had only a couple of accidents in the past month which is a very good sign. We are currently working on getting her to go 8 hours in her crate at a time, and using a bell when she needs to go outside! She is also learning the trick roll-over!!! She will be going on her first overnight trip to San Diego in July, we can't wait to see what she thinks of the doggie beach in Coronado! She will also take an obedience class so that she learns to listen to commands when out in public surrounded by other people!! Stay tuned for more updates, pictures and videos of Ginger Bertonazzi!!!

Ginger in June!

Well, we took Ginger to an off-leash dog park. While she is still learning how to socialize with other dogs she did make some friends. Some were nicer then others, and some stood up for her when she got picked on. After her day in the park we took her home for a much needed bath. On the way home Ginger lost her first puppy tooth. Unfortunately it wasn't one of the needle like teeth in the front!!! We're hoping those fall out soon!!

Stay tuned for more pictures and videos!!

Just a few new pictures of our little bundle of joy!!! She has been enjoying her walks outside and is doing well on her potty training. She is getting so big so fast. Although I can't wait for the day when she can lay calmly with us and watch a movie, I wish she would stay this size forever. She is still so soft and cuddly.

Stay tuned for pictures of Ginger at the off- leash dog park.
